No I am not dead... and now the news

According to Assoiated Press (eat that CNN.com!) in Charlotte NC -

Utility workers trying to blast out a grease clog from a sewer line forced 3,000 gallons of raw sewage into a couple's home, forcing them to abandon their house while hoping that the city makes good on a promise to clean up and repair the damage.

Yeah, but did they get the clog?

Update - Today Google News finds more than 1500 stories containing the word feces. 6 of those stories also contain a reference to George W Bush.

Sounds like a night after lots of spicy food and bread.

I'm sure glad to hear you're not dead. The smell!! Oh, maybe I shouldn't complain. The people in your story have it even worse, I suppose.

Oh, and I forgot to mention in my first comment that the news story you quoted reminds me that I should recoomend the book "Montmorency"--which I just finished reading for the second time yesterday--since you're alive after all and still have a chance to read it. :) It's very fun (light, but good) and involves the early days of the London sewer system.
